Die Waarde van Profesie
“Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets”. (Amos 3:7 NKJV)

A prophet is not a gifted person but is a gift to the Church (Ephesians 4:7).
“Iemand wat profeteer, rig hom tot mense en praat woorde wat geestelik opbou en bemoedig en vertroos. Daarom, my broers, beywer julle om te profeteer en moenie die gebruik van ongewone tale of klanke verhinder nie. Alles moet egter gepas en ordelik geskied.” 1 KORINTIËRS 14:3, 39-40 AFR83
A prophet acts as a messenger of God, conveying divine messages and teachings to others. Their role involves both foretelling future events and forthtelling God's will and truth in the present, often calling people to repentance and righteousness.
Prophets receive direction from God to help people navigate challenges and situations.
In the Bible, prophets urged the people to repent and foretold of the birth, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Today, prophets continue to testify of Jesus. They also warn and advise all people about important topics.
“Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets”. (Amos 3:7 NKJV)
Nathan was "the oracle or prophet" in David's court. (An oracle or prophet was a person who was supposed to interpret signs and tell the King what God wanted.) God tells Nathan to tell David that what he did to Uriah and Bathsheba was unjust. Nathan confronts David by telling him the parable that we read today.
“Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him: “There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor. The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him. And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.” So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.” Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more! Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon. Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.’ ” So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die. However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.” Then Nathan departed to his house. And the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and it became ill. David therefore pleaded with God for the child, and David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground. So the elders of his house arose and went to him, to raise him up from the ground. But he would not, nor did he eat food with them. Then on the seventh day it came to pass that the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead. For they said, “Indeed, while the child was alive, we spoke to him, and he would not heed our voice. How can we tell him that the child is dead? He may do some harm!” When David saw that his servants were whispering, David perceived that the child was dead. Therefore David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?” And they said, “He is dead.” So David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped. Then he went to his own house; and when he requested, they set food before him, and he ate.” II Samuel 12:1-20 NKJV

We call forth all the saints, also the Prophets, there is freedom!! Time to proclaim, where we see dry bones, He sees an army!! Decree and pray, it’s time!!
When we see dry bones, you see an army! When the breath of God is rushing in … the light is breaking forth! The glory of the Lord covers the earth!
Ezekiel 37 describes a vision of a valley filled with dry bones that God brings to life. This vision, known as the "Valley of Dry Bones," is a powerful metaphor for the restoration of Israel, both physically and spiritually.
Here's a breakdown of the key elements:
• The Vision:
Ezekiel is led by the Spirit of the Lord into a valley covered with dry bones.
• Prophecy and Resurrection:
God instructs Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones, promising to bring them back to life. Ezekiel does so, and the bones reassemble, are covered with flesh and skin, but lack breath. A second prophecy calls for breath to enter the bodies, and they come to life, becoming a vast army.
• Interpretation:
God explains that the dry bones represent the whole house of Israel, who feel spiritually dead and exiled.
• The resurrection signifies the restoration of Israel, both to their land and to a relationship with God.
🩵💕“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Mat 11:28-30
When people lack rest they suffer physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
A good word makes the heart glad 🌹
Spr 12:25
“Seeing her lips moving but hearing no sound, he thought she had been drinking. “Must you come here drunk?” he demanded. “Throw away your wine!” “Oh no, sir!” she replied. “I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the Lord. Don’t think I am a wicked woman! For I have been praying out of great anguish and sorrow.” “In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.” “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.”
1 Samuel 1:13-18 NLT
Not pregnant yet (not receiving the promise yet), the Bible says a good word makes the heart glad!

“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3 NKJV
